ENG 235 Survey of Film As Lit

This course provides a study of the medium of film with a focus on the historical impact and the various literary genres of movies. Emphasis is placed on an appreciation of film as a form of literature which demonstrates various elements of fiction (character, setting, theme, etc.). Upon completion, students should be able to analyze film critically in various literary contexts. This course has been approved for transfer under the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement. This course has been approved for transfer under the ICAA as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement. This course is writing intensive.  This course is also available through the Virtual Learning Community (VLC).
