HIS 111 World Civilizations I
This course introduces world history from the dawn of civilization to the early modern era. Topics include Eurasian, African, American, and, Greco-Roman civilizations and Christian, Islamic, and Byzantine cultures. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze significant political, socioeconomic, and cultural developments in pre-modern world civilizations. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA and ICAA as a general education course in Social/Behavior Sciences. This is a Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC) course. This course is part of the NC Global Scholars of Distinction Program.
