AST 111 Descriptive Astronomy

This course introduces an overall view of modern astronomy. Topics include an overview of the solar system, the sun, stars, galaxies, and the larger universe. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the universe around them. This course has been approved for transfer under the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a general education course in Natural Science. The course has been approved for transfer under the ICAA as a general education course in Natural Science. This is a Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC) course.
