Pharmacy Technology
The additional requirements for admission to the Pharmacy Technology Program are listed in the Application Policies and Procedures packets and on the WCC website www.waynecc.edu/admissions/allied-health. Also, upon admission to the Pharmacy Technology Program, applicants must:
- Submit verification of physical and emotional health on the Student Medical Form.
- Submit documentation of required immunizations.
- Complete criminal background checks and drug testing. Applicants should be aware that if a clinical site denies a student placement in its facility, the student will be unable to complete the required clinical component of the course. The student will be withdrawn from all PHM courses and will not be allowed to progress in the Pharmacy Technology Program.
- Submit proof of current American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR certification.
Note: An applicant to the Pharmacy Technology Program should be aware that a person who has been convicted of a felony or a drug or pharmacy-related misdemeanor may not be eligible for certification by the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board).
