Applying for Financial Aid
Applying for aid is as easy as 1-2-3.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.studentaid.gov.
- Once the FAFSA is complete, the student will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR). The SAR contains the information reported on the FAFSA including the Expected Family Contribution (EFC). The EFC is used to determine the types and amounts of federal and state aid for which a student may be eligible.
- The Financial Aid & Veterans Services Office receives this information and uses it to award federal and state financial aid, need-based scholarships, and federal work-study.
NOTE: Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid as early as October 1. Some types of financial aid are limited. Students must apply for aid every year.
