Campus Lockdown
If a dangerous situation poses a serious threat to campus safety, a campus lockdown may be initiated. Lockdown alerts are issued through the WCC Bison Alert system and remain in effect until terminated by law enforcement.
If you are in a classroom
- close and lock the classroom door if possible
- move away from the door and close the window blinds
- silence all electronic devices
- keep low and out of sight
- remain quiet until law enforcement issues further instructions or an “ALL CLEAR” is announced.
If you are in a hallway or outside
- enter the nearest building and secure the room immediately
- If a building or room is not accessible, take cover behind any available object.
- Remain in place until instructed otherwise by law enforcement.
