Severe Weather Alert

If severe weather threatens campus safety, alerts will be issued through the Bison Alert system. When possible, disconnect electrical and computer equipment and close windows before leaving your area.

Move to interior hallways, offices, restrooms, kitchenette areas, or other interior spaces away from exterior doors and windows.

Hocutt Building

Cedar and Oak Buildings

Move to interior hallways or rooms without exterior doors or windows.

WLC Building

Individuals on the first floor should proceed to the Moffatt Auditorium and fill seats beginning with the front row and center sections.  If the auditorium is at capacity, move to interior hallways, offices, restrooms, kitchenettes, or other interior spaces away from exterior doors and windows.  Avoid the third and fourth floors during severe weather alerts.

Elsewhere on Campus

Individuals in service buildings or outdoor areas should seek shelter in the nearest brick building.  If immediate shelter is not available, lie flat in a ditch or other low-lying area.

Whenever possible, avoid hallways that open to the outside.  Interior spaces such as restrooms, offices, conference rooms, and closets without exterior windows or doors provide the safest shelter.

All individuals should remain in designated safe areas until Campus Police issues an official "All Clear."
