Associate in Science Program

The Associate in Science Degree is for students desiring to pursue a four-year degree in areas of study such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, the sciences or professional programs that require strong mathematics and science backgrounds.

I. General Education (45 SHC)
The general education common course pathway includes study in the areas of English composition; humanities and fine arts; social and behavioral sciences; natural sciences and mathematics.
A. Universal General Education Transfer Component
(All Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC) courses will transfer for equivalency credit.)
1. English Composition (6 SHC)
The following two English composition courses are required.

An additional 11 semester hour credit of courses should be selected from courses above, Universal General Education (section A) that were not used or from courses listed below (section B ) that are classified as general education within the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement. Students should select these courses based on their intended major and transfer university.
